Concrete & Construction Equipment Laboratory

The laboratory evaluates the mechanical properties and durability of concrete and various construction materials. At the Construction Equipment Test Facilities, engineers have developed many advanced automation and robotics-related techniques for construction projects.

Mixing Room and Special Mixing Room

These Rooms are used to test the properties of fresh concrete. In the Mixing Room, experiments are conducted at a constant temperature of 20. The Special Mixing Room is used for experiments which require the reproduction of natural environmental conditions at temperatures ranging from 0 - 40.
Mixing Room
Room dimension---7.5(L)x14.5(W)x2.5(H)m
Temperature---202
Special Mixing Room
Room dimension---4.7(L)x7.5(W)x2.5(H)m
Temperature---0 - 402

Materials Testing Room

In this room, testing is done on paints, tiles and other building materials to determine such properties as weather resistance and durability under extreme conditions. The equipment used in the testing of these materials include a sunshine weather meter, ozone weather meter, and a material fatigue testing machine with oil pressure servo.

Construction Equipment Test Facilities

Hazama is developing the technology which will enable it to produce robots which are capable of expediting construction work while increasing overall project safely. The facility houses the Integration Test Room, which is used for large-scale machine testing, and the Hydraulics and Pneumatics Test Room, the Mechatronics Test Room, the Robotics Test Room, and others.

Groundwater Testing Room

Tests include the estimation of seepage around dams and tunnels, and the radon (22 2Rn) concentration and water quality of groundwater.
